Who'd A Thought It Lockeridge cod

[The Chippy Challenge: to eat more fish and chips in 2014; see original post for details.]

Fish: cod
Sides: chips and garden salad
Evaluation: Excellent.  It’s rare that a pub salad is actually worthy of the name ‘salad,’ but this was fresh, crisp, and had a delicate dressing on it.  The chips were tasty especially once I dug some of the damp kosher salt out of the grinder.  But, the fish was the jewel in the crown.  Not many pubs manage to do a good fish and chips — especially on a Sunday when they are more focused on the set meals (roasts, etc).  This was sublime and almost too much considering I would spend the next 45 minutes fell running on the Marlborough and Overton Downs.  Go to the Who’d A Thought It if you get a chance…if they can pull this off, the rest of their menu must be to die for.
