Torretta Prosecco

Into the blackout:
Holiday Drinking Season!
Happy Thanksgiving.

Name: Torretta Prosecco
Type: sparkling wine
Recipe: Prosecco, cheese (cranberries in Wensleydale, onion and chives in Double Gloucester, and Blue Shropshire), chicken pakoras to start.  Pheasants roasted under fatty pork skins, green snap beans, Southern cornbread dressing, Côtes du Rhône, with sweet potato pie in almond crust and more cheese for dessert.

Venue: house

Review/notes: The Holiday Drinking Season is intimidating and needs to be taken quite seriously.  We’ve trained for this all year, though.  Started the day with a shot of rum and 6 mile round trip to the top of Brimble Hill:

Thanksgiving is really the only fundamentally American thing I cling to (besides my accent).  Hope your TG was as nice as ours.
