Prince of Wales, Shrivenham, Oxfordshire, Chippy Challenge #109   2 comments

Prince of Wales Shrivenham F&C

[The Chippy Challenge: to eat more fish and chips in 2014; see original post for details.]

Fish: cod
Sides: chips and peas
Evaluation: The photo doesn’t do this justice…the fish was quite large and the chips (far too artfully stacked in alternating rows of three) were fluffy, hand-cut giants with a crustiness that tells me they’ve been blanched, pre-crisped, then finished in the fryer again just before serving.  Sublime. (venue–Prince of Wales, and the rest of the menu is tantalising as well)

Days since last: 7 (Swindon Beer Fest Food Tent)

Monthly consolidations/compilations: January
