By the time I resurfaced at the top of the hills from the previous 16 miles worth of running, I was thirsty and in need of a carbohydrate boost. And, right on cue the Hare and Hounds emerged on the horizon. A cider would precisely do the trick.
It also served to make the change purse a bit lighter for the next leg of the run. £4.25 for a pint of Weston? Not so much a pub on the highway as highway robbery. Oh, well, needs must and soon I was back on the road, replenished.
Suggested name change: the Stand and Deliver.
