conviviale montepulciano d'abruzzo

To the Regiment!
Watching Early Doors, first year.
“I wish I was there!”

Name: Conviviale Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
Type: red wine
Venue: House with dinner

Review/notes: Got this at the wine store on Wood Street this morning…never steered me wrong, yet, and this was a cracker.

[DT =Daily Tipple, explained in DT #000 here]

To explain the Daily Haiku, Early Doors first appeared on BBC while we were in Amsterdam and it was fantastic…slow moving and, at first blush, without any obvious arc within an episode and very little across the whole series it gets under your skin nonetheless.  We loved it because it reminded us of the better local bars we frequented or worked at in Atlanta and Chattanooga (right down to the characters of the regulars).  So, what better on a winter night than to pour up a few bevvies and settle in with this old friend we haven’t seen in a while?

And, it is a showcase of every character actor in Britain, it seems; there’s this guy named James McAvoy who went on to play Steve in the first series of Shameless and who, I hear, has done some other stuff, plus every new face starts a new game of “He/She was in….” convivial, indeed.
