Not that there’s anything wrong with that.” The phrase sprung immediately to mind chatting with the women in charge at the Wheatsheaf.  Nice house, and they do a stunning job with it.

Chilton Foliat is full of this sort of thatched building, and the Wheatsheaf has been around since about 1814 (the previous Wheatsheaf was destroyed in the 1790’s). The were many pubs in the village in times past, but this one, “the only pub in the village,” so to speak deserves to do the fine trade it had Saturday.

The food looked great; too; but the cook was already acting annoyed at 10 past 2 that they women were still taking lunch orders so I just cozied up with an Old Rosie cider and thought of innuendo. As you do.
