The Water Poet, Gloucester   2 comments

water poet gloucester

Named the Water Poet after the nickname for a local poet from the 16th Century, the pub really has no other connection to him.  A bog-standard Wetherspoons, it does what they do so well, which is to say recovering an old building and serving good ales at a cheap price.  Good enough for me, I guess.  Washing the kebab grease out of my mouth before my big race, the place is nothing special but not too bad, either.
