Not quite to the bottom of the mountain heading into Bath, my investigation of the K&A HHH trail required a climb over a steep hill at Batheaston.  I decided to stop for a stout to prepare me for the task; fortunately the George and Dragon was open for business.

Not only open for bar business, it turns out, but the little room nearest the smoking deck out back hosts a miniature farmer’s market for fresh produce on Wednesday.

A creek off the mountain is redirected under the back terrace and serves as a nice little water feature (although the village has suffered repeated flooding over the centuries).
