The Tall Ship, Gloucester   Leave a comment

Dinner after the Blues Fest dictated some seafood (technically, Gloucester is a port).  We went down toward the docks and spotted a menu outside the Tall Ship and decided it looked okay and went in for a full menu; the landlady told us to come around to the dining area then stood there and eventually we looked around spotted that there were chalkboards EVERYWHERE scribbled with catches of the day.  I had seared swordfish with oranges and soy while Jackie had the mixed seafood grill which came out with mounds of grilled sardines, prawns, krill, devilled crab, mussels and clams, and some swordfish steaks of her own.

The bar was dark and fantastic and we had a great bottle of Spanish wine with the food.  I took the shot of the chef statuette because he is especially creepy (creepy and hanging around a bar…kinship, that is).
