I finished my first 100 pubs the way I started, in the Red Lion with a pint of IPA. This Red Lion was a stop on a planned run to Byron’s Pool in Grantchester a little south of Cambridge. The trails across Grantchester Meadows (yeah, like in the Pink Floyd song) were packed with folks enjoying a day out, though, and I changed my route a bit since getting naked and having a swim seemed a little out of the question.
This inside of the pub seems like a really nice, finely appointed restaurant, so I opted to carry my beer over to the beer garden which had a separate non smoking section with this weird signage:
